Settings
Settings (/dashboard/settings) holds the options that apply to your whole business. Each tile on the page either opens its own settings page or lets you change the option right there.
Settings is for the business owner. Some settings pages show a read-only banner (“You have read-only access to this page. Contact an owner or admin to make changes.”) to members who can view them but not change them.
Brand & Contact
Section titled “Brand & Contact”Settings → Brand & Contact (/dashboard/settings/branding). In the side menu search this is also called Customize Branding.
Your logo, name, colour and the contact details customers use to reach you. ISPMan uses them on the captive portal, the pages your routers show, and your invoices.
| Field | Notes |
|---|---|
| Brand Logo | Upload your logo image. A preview shows while it uploads. |
| Brand Name | The name customers see. It can differ from your registered business name. |
| Color | Your brand colour. It is used across your portal and, if you switch on Use Brand Color in the right-hand menu, in your dashboard. |
| Phone Number | Your support line. |
| Whatsapp Number | Shown so customers can message you on WhatsApp. |
| Email Address | Your support email. |
Click Save. Once set, the logo and phone numbers also show on the Settings tile, so you can see at a glance that branding is filled in.
ISP Details
Section titled “ISP Details”Settings → ISP Details (/dashboard/settings/isp-details). Your business Name, Address, Description of this ISP, Email, Phone Number, Country and the Currency your packages are priced in.
Captive Experience
Section titled “Captive Experience”Settings → Captive Experience (/dashboard/settings/captive-theme, called Captive Theme in search). This is everything a customer sees before they’re online, with a live preview for mobile, tablet and laptop. It is organised in tabs:
- Loading Screen: the screen your router shows while it hands a new customer to the portal.
- Captive Portal: where customers browse and pay for a package.
- Status Page: what a connected customer sees about their session.
- Expired PPPoE: what a PPPoE customer sees when their subscription runs out.
- Terms & Language: your terms, privacy policy and portal languages.
- Full White Label and White Label Branding API: remove ISPMan branding and serve the portal from your own domain, or build your own landing page.
The Loading Screen and Status Page live on your routers, so after saving a design you deploy it to them from the same tab.
Captive Portal Features (/dashboard/settings/captive-features) controls what the portal lets customers do, such as connecting another device, seeing their usage, or logging in with a payment reference or sharing code.
For the full guide to the captive portal, see Hotspot.
Hotspot Configurations
Section titled “Hotspot Configurations”Settings → Hotspot Configurations lists your hotspot configurations. Click Add to add one, choosing from the configuration types offered (for example a paid hotspot, or free with adverts), and click a row’s Manage to open it. Inside a configuration you set its packages, advertising, quiz, the details collected from customers, and terms and conditions.
Roaming on Hotspots, also on the Settings page, controls whether customers can move between your hotspots and devices: Different hotspots, Same device, Same hotspot server, Different devices, and Different hotspots, Different devices.
See Hotspot for how configurations and packages work.
Payments Settings
Section titled “Payments Settings”The Payments Settings tile (/dashboard/settings/payments) is where you connect your payment gateway, such as an M-Pesa Paybill (via Daraja) or Paystack, so you can start receiving payments. See Payments for setup steps.
Branches
Section titled “Branches”The Branches tile lets you split your business by location, for example Nairobi CBD and Kisumu. Type a Branch Name and click Add Branch. Adding your first branch switches branches on for your business.
Once you have branches you can:
- assign team members to branches so they only see their branch (see Team members and roles);
- assign customers and onboarding leads to branches;
- pick a branch from the right-hand menu, or — All Branches —, to filter what you see.

Section titled “Usage Alerts & Thresholds”Device offline alerts and how you’re notified. See Alerts.

Section titled “PPPoE Network and Winbox Access”The PPPoE IP pool and the remote Winbox access list. See Network settings.
PPPoE policies
Section titled “PPPoE policies”These tiles control PPPoE behaviour for the whole business. They are covered in detail in PPPoE.
- PPPoE Deactivation Policy: how many days an expired PPPoE account stays active, and on your bill, before it is deactivated.
- PPPoE Authentication Policies: switches such as Enable MAC binding check (global), Enforce PPPoE password, Strict device assignment, Customers can change their own package, and the Upgrade early-activation window.
Other policies
Section titled “Other policies”- Accounting Policies: a Network packets margin (%) added when usage is counted, to cover retransmissions, protocol overhead and management traffic on top of the data a user actually moved.
- Installation Fees: a one-time fee charged with a new customer’s first package payment. Set an amount and switch on Require an installation fee for new PPPoE customers and/or Require an installation fee for new static customers.
Recently Deleted
Section titled “Recently Deleted”Settings → Recently Deleted (/dashboard/settings/recently-deleted) shows PPPoE and hotspot customers that were deleted, who deleted them and when. You can restore a customer deleted by mistake. Only owners and admins see this tile.
