Inventory settings
Inventory → Settings (/dashboard/inventory/settings) lists the item types
your business has created itself, on top of the defaults every account gets.
Use it to rename a type, recategorise it, or change the reorder level that
triggers the Low / reorder warning on the Items page.
Owners, admins and inventory admins can open this page.

Default types (Cable, ONU/ONT, MikroTik Router and the rest) don’t appear here. They’re always available on the Items page and can’t be edited.
Edit a custom type
Section titled “Edit a custom type”- Click Edit on the type’s row.
- Change any of:
- Name
- Category
- Reorder level: leave it empty to keep the current level.
- Description
- Click Save. You’ll see “Item type updated”.
The code and unit can’t be changed once a type exists, because stock and requests are already counted in that unit. If you set up a type with the wrong unit, create a new type with the right one.
To add a new custom type, use New Item Type on the Items page.
Choosing reorder levels
Section titled “Choosing reorder levels”A reorder level is the point at which you want to reorder, not zero. Think about how much you use between deliveries. For example, if you install about 10 ONUs a week and your supplier takes a week to deliver, a reorder level of 15 gives you some headroom.
