Bulk actions and compensation
Two tools on Services → PPPoEs work on many customers at once: Bulk Actions for everyday changes, and Compensation for making up for an outage. Both need write access.
Bulk actions
Section titled “Bulk actions”Services → PPPoEs → Bulk Actions (/dashboard/pppoes/bulk-actions).
- Use the column filters (Name, Username, Phone, Package, Device, Location, Active, Paid Until, Last Seen) to narrow the list.
- Tick customers, or click Select all matching filters to select every match across all pages. Your selection is kept as you page and change filters.
- Pick an action from the bar that appears (“N customer(s) selected”).
- Fill in any details in the dialog and click Confirm.
| Action | What it does |
|---|---|
| Assign package | Moves the selected customers to the package you pick. |
| Assign device | Assigns them to the router device you pick. |
| Reset connection | Removes their active sessions from all MikroTik devices, so they log in again. |
| Compensate | Adds a number of Days or Weeks to each customer’s Paid Until. |
| Activate / Deactivate | Activates or deactivates the accounts. |
| Delete | Archives the customers. This is hard to undo for many customers. |
After a run, a summary shows how many succeeded and failed. Clear selection starts over.
Outage compensation
Section titled “Outage compensation”Services → PPPoEs → Compensation (/dashboard/pppoes/compensation) gives back paid time
customers lost while your service was down. Anyone with PPPoE access can review it, but only
owners, admins, operators, customer admins and PPPoE admins can apply it.
- Pick the outage. Either click Compensate this outage next to one of the Device
outages in the last 24 hours (this fills in the window and the device for you), or fill in
the form yourself:
- Outage started at: only customers whose subscription was valid at this moment are compensated.
- Outage ended at: leave blank if you’re still down. The award then keeps growing until you fill it in, so set it as soon as service is back.
- Narrow it down (optional): pick a Package and/or Router device.
- Click Load affected customers. The table lists everyone who had paid time when the outage started, with the time each would get and why.
- Choose how much to give under Compensation to add:
- Unused time (per customer) (the default): each customer gets back the paid time the outage actually cost them.
- Whole outage to everyone: the full length of the outage.
- A preset: Full package, 30 minutes, 1 hour, 3 hours, 12 hours, 1 day or 3 days.
- Or a manual amount in minutes, hours or days.
- Select customers (Select all, or tick rows) and click Compensate N selected.
- Check the totals in Confirm compensation and apply.
How unused time is worked out
Section titled “How unused time is worked out”- Still had time left when it came back: the outage cost them every minute of it, so they get the whole outage back.
- Ran out while the service was still down: they get back everything they had left when it started, but not the part they had already expired through.
- Had already expired before it started: it cost them nothing, so they are skipped.
Nobody gets back more than the outage lasted, or more than they had left when it began. Time is always added on top of what they have now; an expiry is never moved earlier. Anyone whose subscription has already lapsed by the time you apply gets the time from now, so they can use it.
The flat options (whole outage, presets, manual) give every selected customer the same amount, including someone who had only a few minutes left.
After you apply, the page shows a Last compensation report.
