Scenarios
The feature sections of these docs explain one part of the dashboard at a time. The pages in this section go the other way. Each one starts from a real job you need to get done and walks you through every screen involved, in order.
Use them as checklists the first time you do something, or hand them to a new staff member.
Walkthroughs
Section titled “Walkthroughs”| Scenario | Use it when |
|---|---|
| Launch a new hotspot from zero | You have a new MikroTik and want customers buying Wi-Fi packages with M-Pesa. |
| Move your existing PPPoE customers into ISPMan | You already run PPPoE (on a MikroTik or another system) and want your subscribers in ISPMan without retyping them. |
| A customer paid but is not connected | A customer calls with an M-Pesa message and no internet. |
| Compensate customers after an outage | A router or uplink went down and you want to give customers back the time they lost. |
| Run a promo or loyalty campaign | You want discount codes, free vouchers or loyalty points to bring customers back. |
| Add a staff member with limited access | You are hiring a cashier, technician or branch manager and they should only see part of the dashboard. |
| Expand to a second site or router | You are opening a new location and want it run from the same account. |
| Run the monthly PPPoE billing cycle | You want reminders, renewals, invoices and deactivations to run smoothly every month. |
Before you start
Section titled “Before you start”Most scenarios assume that:
- You can sign in to the dashboard at
https://ispman.tech/dashboardas an owner or admin. Some steps (payment settings, withdrawals, team changes) are limited to those roles. - You have at least one router added under Devices. If not, start with Launch a new hotspot from zero, which covers onboarding.
- You have a payment method set up under Settings → Payments Settings, or you are happy to use the default ISPMan collection account.
