Selling equipment

Spare routers, OLTs or radios? You can sell them to other ISPs on the Marketplace. ISPMan reviews each listing, holds the buyer’s money until they confirm they received the item, and then pays you into your collection wallet.

The selling tabs are My listings, Promotions, Sales and Payouts. Only team members allowed to list items see them.

To submit listings your business needs to be in good standing: an active subscription, no ISPMan invoices unpaid for more than 30 days, and no listing suspensions in the last 90 days. If not, My listings says “Your business cannot submit listings right now” and why. You can still prepare drafts.

My listings also shows how many active listings you are using out of your limit.

  1. Go to My listings (/dashboard/marketplace/my-listings) and click List an item.
  2. What are you listing? The type is Equipment. Choose a Category.
  3. Identify the product. Search the catalogue for the brand and model, which fills in the specs for you, or Enter a custom product instead with Brand, Model and Title. Radios may need a type-approval reference.
  4. Condition. New (sealed) or Used. For used items give the Grade, Age (months), Hours in service (if known), Known faults and What is included.
  5. Photos. Upload clear photos. Used items need more photos than new ones, including one of the serial label (Mark as label).
  6. Price and quantity. Set the Unit price (KES, VAT inclusive), Quantity and Warranty (months), and optional tier pricing for bulk buyers. The page shows the minimum listing price and You’ll receive ≈ after fees.
  7. Fulfilment. Set the Handling time (working days) and how buyers get the item: I ship by courier at a flat fee per zone (Nairobi, Major towns, Rest of Kenya) and/or Buyer pickup (free, with a pickup code).
  8. Review and submit. Check the summary and submit.

The listing is Submitted for review, with its place in the review queue and when to expect a decision. Once approved it goes live with the ispman Verified badge.

My listings shows each listing’s State, Stock and Review status, with Edit, Submit, Pause, Resume and Archive. When you edit a live listing, the page tells you what happened:

  • Saved — your changes are live.
  • Sent for review. The current version stays live until ISPMan approves your changes.
  • Paused for review. A price increase pauses the listing until ISPMan approves it.

Sales (/dashboard/marketplace/sales) shows orders for your listings by state, with time limits for each step. The money is held until the buyer confirms.

  1. Accept order.
  2. Mark packed, entering serial numbers where the item is tracked by serial.
  3. Ship: choose the courier and enter the waybill, or choose Buyer pickup. For pickup, enter the Buyer’s 6-digit pickup code and click Verify and hand over.
  4. Use Chat with the buyer for questions (messages are logged).

If the buyer opens a dispute, choose Accept the return (full refund), Offer a partial refund or Contest with evidence, and click Send response.

Promotions (/dashboard/marketplace/promotions) lets you discount your own listings: sale prices, coupon codes, percent or fixed amount off, bundles, multi-buy (“buy X get Y”) and free shipping. You fund the discount, and commission is charged on the discounted price.

Give the promotion a Name, an optional Badge (for example Week deal), start and end dates, the discount, and limits such as Uses in total, Uses per buyer, First order only and whether it Combines with other promotions. Click Save. Your promotions lists each one with the discount given, and lets you edit, pause, resume or end it.

Payouts (/dashboard/marketplace/payouts) shows money Held in escrow, money Settled to your wallet and any Holds. Sales settle into your collection wallet when the hold window ends, net of commission. Withdraw them from Payments → Withdrawals (see Payments).

Settlement statements list the orders released, commission and refunds for each payout, with a PDF download.
