Buying on the Marketplace

This page walks through a normal purchase, such as routers, an OLT, or an SMS bundle, from browsing to confirming delivery.

1. Find the item

Go to Marketplace → Browse (/dashboard/marketplace). Pick a type tab (or All), type in the search box, and use the filters (All categories, Any condition, Any billing). Click Search. Results are paged with Previous and Next.

Open a product to see its photos, VAT-inclusive price (with any quantity tiers), stock, delivery promise and shipping options. For catalogue products the page lists every seller’s offer sorted by landed price, with used offers on their own tab. Choose a quantity and shipping option, then click Add to cart.

2. Review your cart

The Cart (/dashboard/marketplace/cart) groups items by Seller. You can change quantities, Remove lines and apply a coupon code (Apply). The Summary shows Items, any You save discount, Shipping, incl. VAT and Total.

If a seller changed a price after you added an item, the cart tells you and asks you to Accept new prices. Prices never change silently. Items that can no longer be bought appear under Unavailable.

Click Checkout.

3. Check out

Contact: your Name and Phone (used for M-Pesa, courier and WhatsApp updates). The page says which business you are buying for.
Delivery (physical goods only): choose your County and Address, or pickup where the seller offers it.
Invoice details: Company and KRA PIN, pre-filled from your business.
Review: check each seller’s items, VAT and delivery promise. Tick I accept the vendor terms for this item. For new items sold by another ISP you can tick Add Buyer protection on new items.
Click Continue to payment.

Placing the order holds the stock for a short time while you pay, so complete payment straight away.

4. Pay

On the purchase page, choose how to pay: M-Pesa, Card, Buyer wallet, Wallet (your business wallet) and, if your business qualifies, Pay later. For items sold by other ISPs, you pay with a single M-Pesa prompt for the whole order; the first time you use a number you verify it with a one-time code (Verify and pay).

The page shows “Waiting for the payment confirmation… this page updates by itself.” When it succeeds you see Thank you — payment confirmed, with your order numbers and Download receipt. For SMS bundles, units are added to your SMS balance straight away.

5. Track and receive the order

My orders (/dashboard/marketplace/orders) lists every order with Order, Seller, Type, State, Total and Placed. Anything still waiting for payment is shown on top under Waiting for payment, with a Pay link.

Open an order to see its progress (paid, processing, shipped, delivered, completed), the items with serial numbers, courier tracking (Track) or your Pickup code, and the timeline. Depending on the order you can:

Click I’ve received it when the goods arrive, or Confirm it works for a service. This releases the payment to the seller.
Use Messages with the seller (logged and visible to ISPMan).
Download the Receipt and Tax invoice.
Reveal deliverables such as licence keys under Delivered to you.

If something is wrong

On the order, click I have a problem (Raise an issue for capacity). In Open a dispute, describe the problem, add up to 6 photos, and click Submit. The seller can accept a return, offer a partial refund or contest it. If they make an offer you can Accept offer, or Ask ispman to decide.

Equipment you bought

Routers bought on the Marketplace appear on your devices page as purchased but not yet set up. Adopt a device once it is online to start onboarding and monitoring it. See Devices.
