Team members and roles
The Team page (/dashboard/team) is where you give staff their own logins to your business. Each person signs in with their own account, sees only what their roles allow, and their actions are recorded against their name.
The team list
Section titled “The team list”The Isp Team table shows every member with their Name, Email, roles, whether they are active, and whether they are blocked. Your own row shows You. Click a member to open their page.
Below the list you may see:
- Pending Invites: invitations that haven’t been accepted yet. Revoke one with Revoke Invitation.
- Branch Assignments: if your business uses branches, the branches each member is limited to.
Two ways to add someone
Section titled “Two ways to add someone”Invite a member (recommended)
Section titled “Invite a member (recommended)”The person gets an invitation and uses their own account and password.
- On Team, click Invite a Member.
- Enter their Name and E-Mail, and choose a Member Role.
- Send the invitation. You’ll see “Invitation sent successfully. Once accepted, you will see the member.”
The person opens the invitation link, signs in or signs up, verifies their email and phone, and clicks Accept Invite. They then appear in your team list.
Only owners and admins can send invitations. You can’t invite someone who is already on the team, or send a second invitation for the same role while one is still pending.
Add a member directly
Section titled “Add a member directly”Use this when the person can’t easily receive an invite, for example a technician without regular email access.
- Click Add Member.
- Fill in Full Name, Email Address, optionally Phone Number, and the Member Role.
- Either type a Password and Confirm Password, or tick System generate password.
- Save. If you chose a generated password, it is shown once: “Member added! Share their login credentials securely.”
You can’t add an email address that already has an ISPMan account. Invite that person instead.
A member can have one or more roles. Roles come in three kinds.
Core roles
Section titled “Core roles”| Role | What it allows |
|---|---|
| owner | Full access to everything, including settings, team and billing. Give it only to people you fully trust: an owner role can’t be changed without contacting support. |
| admin | Create, change and delete across the business. |
| operator | Day-to-day work such as updating customers and devices, but not deleting important things. |
| viewer | Read-only. |
| manager | Admin rights within the branches they are assigned to, except managing the team. |
Job roles (limited to their branches)
Section titled “Job roles (limited to their branches)”| Role | Designed for |
|---|---|
| branch_manager | Runs a branch: manages customers, sends messages to them, and assigns onboarding jobs. View-only billing, reports and devices; can reset routers. |
| technician | Field staff: creates and manages customers, views devices and resets routers, and works onboarding jobs. |
| sales_rep | Signs up and manages customers and their onboarding, with view-only billing and reports. Can’t take payments, manage the team or change settings. |
Area roles
Section titled “Area roles”Each area has an _admin role (full access to that area) and a _reader role (view only). For example:
| Area | Roles | Covers |
|---|---|---|
| Billing & payments | billing_admin, billing_reader | Your ISPMan bill, payments received, withdrawals. |
| Customers | customers_admin, customers_reader | Hotspot and PPPoE customers. |
| Hotspot | hotspots_admin, hotspots_reader | Hotspots, configurations and hotspot customers. |
| PPPoE | pppoes_admin, pppoes_reader | PPPoE packages and customers. |
| Devices | devices_admin, devices_reader | Routers and other equipment, device alerts. |
| Reports | reports_admin, reports_reader | Reports and analytics. |
| Marketing | marketing_admin, marketing_reader | Campaigns, promo codes and vouchers. |
| Communications | communications_admin, communications_reader | SMS, email and support messages. |
| Team | team_admin, team_reader | The Team page and invitations (not owner operations). |
| Inventory | inventory_admin, inventory_reader | Stock, top-ups and stock requests. |
| Onboarding | onboarding_admin, onboarding_reader | The Onboarding board. |
| Marketplace | marketplace_admin, marketplace_reader | Buying (and, for admins, selling) on the Marketplace. |
The role pickers show the full set. Statics pages follow the PPPoE roles, and owners and admins can use the Assistant.
Branches
Section titled “Branches”If your business has branches (set up in Settings), you can limit members to one or more branches. Branch-limited members only see the customers, payments and jobs of their branches.
In Branch Assignments, pick a branch under Assign Branch for a member and click Assign. Remove one with the × on the branch name. A member with no branches shows All branches (unrestricted).
The job roles (branch_manager, technician, sales_rep) and manager are meant to be used with branch assignments.
Manage a member
Section titled “Manage a member”Click a member in the list to open their page. It shows Account Information, Roles & Permissions, their login activity (IP address, status, reason and time), and the actions they’ve taken.
From there you can:
- Change their roles and name, picking roles in Select Member Roles.
- Deactivate them, which switches off their access but keeps their history, and Reactivate them later.
- Reset Password: set a new password of at least 8 characters, or generate one. Only an owner can do this, and not for members who sign in with Google or another provider.
- Delete them. A member should have no roles and be inactive before you delete them.
Only owners can manage another owner. You can also remove a member directly from the team list.
Leaving a business
Section titled “Leaving a business”If you’re a member of someone else’s business and no longer work with them, open the right-hand menu and use the leave option next to that business under Your Businesses, or the leave button on Team. The only owner of a business can’t leave it.
