Statics overview
Statics is for customers who get a fixed IP address on your network instead of dialling in with a PPPoE username and password. Think of businesses, CCTV links, or customers whose own router (a Tenda or similar CPE) is simply plugged in and given an IP.
ISPMan decides whether each IP may reach the internet: paid clients are let through; lapsed ones are blocked. It does this by managing firewall rules on your MikroTik for the static network, so there’s nothing for the customer to log in to.
How it works
Section titled “How it works”- In Statics → Settings you give each router a static network (for example
10.27.0.0/16) and click Apply. ISPMan sets up the gateway and firewall rules on that router. - You add customers. Each gets an IP from their router’s network (or one you type in), a PPPoE package for price and speed, and their own account number to pay into.
- While a customer is paid up, their IP is allowed online at the package speed. When their subscription ends, ISPMan tries to renew from their balance; if it can’t, the IP is blocked until they pay or you renew them.
